2)     Holding the ball on a Friday for the first time

3)     Restricted to a maximum table size of 10 (if you have more, take a 2nd table and let us know when you book so that we can accommodate you when we do the seating plan)

Players wanted for Arabian Gulf Curtain Raiser 26 April 08

Gday all, just when you thought it was all over for another season I have been contacted by Al Ain Rugby club. The Doha RFC are sending a Vets team to Al Ain to play an Arabian Gulf select side as the curtain raiser to the Arabian Gulf v Hong Kong.
 
If anyone is interested in nominating themselves please contact Spencer at the email address above or 0501376560. This is not limited to Vets so anyone interested can make themselves available. It will be a good opportunity to watch some of the Abu Dhabi guys ( if selected ) make their international debuts.

VICTORY IN THE CUP !

G'day All, congratulations to the mens First XV for their sensational success in bringing the Arabian Gulf Cup to Abu Dhabi.
 
This was no mean feat given the strength of rugby elsewhere in the Gulf especially in Dubai. Thank you to everyone involved this year in making it so successful and enjoyable. A big thank you to all those supporters who have come to the matches to cheer us on, the 2 buses to Al Ain were packed and it was a real lift for the players to see all the support on the sidelines for the BATS.
 
Good luck to the ladies team in there last tournament on the 25th and the Juniors in the rest of their endeavours.
 
Men stand by for details on the Captains dinner on either the 8th or 9th of May, and everyone start making plans for baby sitters and cancelling any activities that clash with the May Ball Gala Dinner on the 30th at the Intercontinental Hotel which is going to be the biggest rugby event ever in Abu Ahabi.

  • First off, congratulations to the First XV on their victory last night from the junior section.
  • Thanks to all who came up to play, watch, support & coach yesterday for the match day against the Abu Dhabi French Club.
  • U16 & U19 Training on Sundays at the school will now be from 5.00 PM to 6.30 PM because it is getting hotter (!!)
  • U16 & U19 Training on Wednesdays will still be from 6.30 PM to 8.00 PM
